Australian World Orchestra

The Australian World Orchestra will return to India for its second tour with three extraordinary concerts in Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai.

Fifty-two of Australia's finest classical musicians from preeminent national and international concert halls - including the Vienna and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Antwerp and London Symphony Orchestras - will take to the stage.

Led by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Alexander Briger AO, the programme will include operatic and symphonic works by Mozart, Bizet and Beethoven, and special solo performances from violinist Daniel Dodds and guest soloist mezzo-soprano Caroline Meng.

Music education is a core element of the Australian World Orchestra’s work, and its Indian tour will also feature masterclasses for young classical musicians and outreach workshops for children who have had little or no exposure to western classical music.
