Contemporary Australian Music Showcase

The Contemporary Australian Music Showcase will see some of the country’s finest bands and musicians take to the stage at Indian music festivals and clubs.
Hiatus Kaiyote: Hiatus Kaiyote, a future soul quartet from Melbourne, will headline the NH7 Weekender music festival in Pune - one of India’s largest music festivals - as well as the Jazz India Circuit in Goa.  Hiatus Kaiyote’s 2012 debut album, Tawk Tomahawk, and their 2015 follow-up album Choose Your Weapon, have both attracted widespread international attention, including two Grammy nominations in the Best R&B Performance category for songs Nakamarra and Breathing Underwater.  Hiatus Kaiyote’s Indian tour is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

Sleepmakeswaves and West Thebarton: Joining the NH7 Weekender festivities will be Sleepmakeswaves, an instrumental rock band with a devoted global following for their innovative and expansive music and West Thebarton, a seven-headed rock hydra band that recently unleashed their debut album Different Beings Being Different. Both bands will also play club gigs.
